Introducing our team of trained compounding pharmacy professionals.
Each of our compounding pharmacists and pharmacy technicians are trained in following and adhering United States Pharmacopia (USP) regulations and guidelines, along with being proud members of Professional Compounding Centers of America (PCCA) and International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists (IACP). From our home to yours, we look to establish a long-term relationship with all of our patients and practitioners, trusting each other to ensure that everyone gets the highest quality of care possible.
Richard P. Brisson, R.Ph.
Compounding Pharmacist / CEO / Owner
Graduating from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy in 1969 with a magna cum laude and a B.S. in Pharmacy, Richard worked for several independent pharmacies in the area eventually expanding with the franchise apothecary pharmacy, The Medicine Shoppe. After nearly twenty years in business, he branched out into compounding by joining PCCA (Professional Compounding Centers of America), later beginning his current endeavor, PharmaHealth Pharmacy. He is very much involved in many facets of compounding: hospice care, pain management, BHRT (bio-identical hormone replacement), men’s health, pediatrics, and veterinary medicine and continues to focus his attention on the triad relationship between patient, pharmacist, and practitioner.
Ed Macedo, R.Ph.
Compounding Pharmacist / Pharmacy Manager
Graduating from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy in 1968, Ed Macedo has worked as a registered pharmacist at several pharmacies, including: Macedo Pharmacy for 40 years, Stop & Shop Pharmacy for 12 years, and now at PharmaHealth Pharmacy for the past 3 years. Besides being a registered pharmacist, Ed has been communicating with the Southeastern Massachusetts community using his fluency in English, Portuguese, and sign language, while also acting as the president of the board of directors for the Immigrants’ Assistance Center and South End Business Association, member of the Economic Development Board, and as a pharmacist for Southeastern Massachusetts Emergency Management.
Compounding Pharmacist / Certified HRT Consultant
Rene St. Laurent has been a registered pharmacist for 35 years along with having a degree as a Doctor of Natural Medicines. Rene also has practiced 8 years as a board certified clinical nutritionist and was elected to the scientific board of the International and American Association of Clinical Nutritionists (IAACN). Having a passion for holistic medicine, Rene is the owner of the Aquidneck Nutrients & Wellness Center in Middletown, RI. Developing an interest in compounding, Rene became a PCCA member in 2000 as well becoming an HRT consultant in 2001. For the past two years Rene has brought his knowledge and expertise of numerous fields to PharmaHealth Pharmacy.
Toni Lynn Cardoza, C.PhT.
Compounding Lab Manager
Toni began her PharmaHealth Pharmacy career in April 2002. Graduating from Bridgewater State College with a Bachelor‘s Degree in Social Work, she decided to integrate her skills and focus on patient care. As the Compounding Lab Manager, Toni is responsible for the day to day operations, inventory control, training, imputing and formulating of compounded prescriptions. She adheres to USP 795 and 797 regulations of compounding, as well as being a member of PCCA and IACP. She enjoys establishing working relationships with physicians and their staff, as well as dealing directly with her patients.
Travis Neely, C.PhT.
While trying to achieve his goal of a becoming a pharmacist, Travis has found a current niche in the field of compounding. Travis joined PharmaHealth Pharmacy in November of 2012 with already 6 years of pharmacy experience, both retail and compounding. After attending the “Comprehensive Compounding Course” at PCCA Travis decided he would like to take a new approach in compounding and visit physicians offices to further educate them on how compounding can help improve the quality of their patients lives. Travis enforces the relationship triad of patient, pharmacist, and physician on a daily basis.
