A letter To Our Valued Patients & Providers

2/10/13

To Our Valued Patients and Providers,

For over 35 years the health and safety of our patients has been our top priority.  Therefore, we want to provide you with an important update about our New Bedford South End Pharmacy located at 458 Dartmouth Street.

First and foremost, please know that the pharmacy is OPEN to serve your needs, and we are conducting nearly all of our regular activities there.

Since 1977 the PharmaHealth Pharmacy has met the Gold Standard of care for every patient we serve, either as a neighborhood pharmacy or by providing compounded medications.

While we continue business as usual at the Dartmouth Street location, we are working with the Massachusetts Department of Health to address their concerns about our ‘sterile compounding’ work there.

As we continue that process, we thank you for your continued business and support. Your health and safety are our number one priority and we look forward to being there for you for many decades to come.

Should you have any additional questions please feel free to call us at: 508-998-8000 Ext. 3021.

Sincerely,

Richard Brisson, Chief Executive Officer

Introducing Rene St. Laurent,

Newly Certified Neuro-Endo-Immune (NEI) Practitioner

Rene St. Laurent, a board certified clinical nutritionist, expert in natural medicine, registered pharmacist, and certified bio-identical hormone replacement consultant, has a new title to add to his list of achievements and certifications. He is now a certified neuro-endo-immune practitioner, certified through the medical educational department of NeuroScience, Inc., a world renowned research and educational organization committed to improving human health through the neurological, endocrine, and immune systems.

Optimal health is only possible when the nervous, endocrine, and immune system are in balance. Imbalances in these systems occur as a result from psychological or physical challenges.

Some underlying stressors include: poor diet, mental stress, hormonal imbalance, infections, environmental toxins, and unhealthy lifestyles. The best solution to address these stressors is by identifying and treating these root disturbances.

As a certified NEI practitioner, Rene St. Laurent is a primary solution to help both doctors and patients better understand the inter-relationships between the nervous, endocrine, and immune systems for an improved healthy living, and can be reached directly at our compounding pharmacy.

Drug Shortage Saviors

In the past few months, drugs on the FDA drug shortage list have accumulated to more than 200 back ordered or discontinued drugs, and what could the reason be? . . .  No one really knows.

Drug shortages have left patients and doctors scrambling to find medications to continue their therapy all across the nation. Highly effected by this problem have been pediatric and cancer medications, but the list goes on and on for many other therapeutic areas.

To combat this growing problem, that many say will only get worst, PharmaHealth Compounding Pharmacy is working with physicians and patients to custom formulate medications equivalent to the drug that is on back order or has been discontinued. Please notify your physician of our services and we will do our best to see that you get the treatment you need.

Here is a recent article posted by USA Today and by our compounding affiliates PCCA (Professional Compounding Centers of America).
