Hospice Medicine
Taking care of your loved ones that may be using hospice care is not always stress-free. Through compounding, PharmaHealth Compounding can help you and your loved one receive a practical and compassionate way of meeting your needs.
Our pharmacists can provide specialized medications for patients who may have difficulty swallowing medications in their traditional forms. In such cases, patients can be given a topical medication that can be directly applied to the skin. Other patients may also prefer other alternate dosage forms such as lozenges that melt under the tongue, or rapid-dissolve tablets. Medications can also be prepared as suppositories, oral liquids, or even lollipops.
Examples of Compounded Medications:
- Topical creams and gels for itching
- Flavor changes with rapid dissolve tablets (RDTs) to sweeten bitter drugs
- Lollipops and creams for nausea and vomiting
- Creams and sprays for pain
Testimonials
- “Kathy from St. Luke’s Hospital Pediatrics called with heartfelt thanks to Ed and Toni for the manner in which they responded to the needs of a family/baby that has been in the hospital with Congenital Heart Failure since birth on February 27, 2011.
The compounding prescriptions were prepared upon receipt of the fax from the hospital for immediate pick up, even though the insurance information had not been received nor verified.
Thank you to Ed and Toni for the quality of service, care and comfort they provided this family.”by Rosemary R. - “I don't know you, but you have been a Godsend for the past 2 days. (Directed to Toni Lynn Cardoza)”by Daughter of Patient
